guppy {love}
Sticking with our {tradition} of homemade {valentine cards}, we decided to make these adorable fishie cards! As usual a few months ago, a copy of Family Fun magazine arrived in our mailbox. After I flipped through it, I passed it on to my daughter who spent a few weeks deciding on which {valentines} she wanted to make. She finally decided on these {guppy love} cards. (Click here to check out the {bee mine} valentines we made last year… )
We searched through my rather large stash of {bazzill} cardstock and picked out a few colors. We took turns using our {Slice} by Making Memories to cut the hearts. Once cut, the hearts were carefully sorted into stacks of 3… careful to make sure that each set was different. Then the {fish} were assembled… googlie eyes were added… and little mouths drawn on.
Sadly, my little one was sick today… so she’ll have to pass out her cards when she goes back to school. Unfortunately, that won’t even be tomorrow… what with having to be home for at least 24 hours after the fever has passed! She was SO bummed today, but is still looking forward to taking her {school} of fish to school!

flashback friday: our little {baja baby}
When it comes to {de-cluttering}… it can certainly stretch into SO many areas of life. Recently we’ve been clearing clutter from the garage, from my daughters playroom, from our closets, and even from the computer.
While {de-cluttering} old files, photos, and even songs from the computer… I came across some old scrapbooking projects. Layouts, altered projects, mini albums and more…
This little book is one of my favorites. This was from an October visit to San Felipe, Mexico when my little one was just over a year old. She had SO much fun digging in the sand and splashing at the water’s edge. When I received these papers from Classy Coordinates, where I was a guest designer, I knew they’d work perfectly with our beachy photos. This little album now lives at my parents house. Whenever I visit, I flip through the little album and remember when my munchkin was a {baja baby} instead of the {BIG} girl she is now. I’m definitely thinking that a more current version of this needs to be made! (This time I might need to make two copies, though, so I can keep one for myself!)

{crafty} journal
While packing up my old Scraproom, to move to my new Scraproom/Guest Room… I stumbled across this journal that I made ages ago.

My little one was just over a year old when I made this. The journal was created with items from a kit that was sent to me from a company that I was then designing for at the time. Because it was an “assignment,” it ended up getting pushed aside and never used. For a moment, I was sad that I never used this adorable thing with my munchkin smiling at me on the cover… and then my spirits lifted as I realized that it could be my journal/notebook {now}. Every time I take it out to add something to my to-do list, or to write something else down, I pause to look at my daughter and remember what she was like at that age. I am so happy to have found this, and even happier that I now see it daily!
